Treatment

For our music video, we have chosen to use the first single from "Weak(end) Arrows" called Rabbits. We decided this because 2 out of three of our group are band members, therefore they know the song inside out, making the filming process much easier and helps up in making a more accurate video. Our basic ideas are these:

• We want to have two simultaneous intercutting sequences at the same time like a lot of music videos today. 
• one sequence will be shots of the band playing the song
• the other will be a narrative about the song
• the shots of the band playing will be in a blackout room (drama studio), with heavy white lighting in specific positions involving black and white effects at the right moment, and a huge mix of camera shots.
• The narrative will be 2 people (the band members) dressed as rabbits telling the story of the song much like the clowns in Florescent Adolescence by the arctic monkeys. 
• it will be filmed hopefully in a field due to where rabbits are likely to be seen but for contrast, some shots in a busy urban area.

Lip Sycning

After alot of discussion we have decided that the best song to do would be "Mr Brightside" by "The Killers".
We came to this decission because we thought, 1) it's not hard to sing because its not too fast, its alost spoken in the verses, 2) it's not too long, 3) it doesn't have too many instrumental passages, but enough for us to dance around to, and 4) it's a brilliant song that every body knows.

Originally we thought it would be a cool and original idea to do "Zzzonked" by "Enter Shikari" just becaus it's so ridiculously intesnse, but the sheer passion in the singers shouting/singing, would make it extremely difficult to pull of!

Us!

For our A level media coursework we have been aked to create a music video; in other words, become a procution team. We have collectively decided to call our production team "Weak(end) Arrows just because it's the name of our band and it saves alot of confusion.Our team consists of Sam Turner, Connor Simmons and Ben Gifford.
As a preperation task we have been asked to create a short video where we "lip sync" a song as this is going to be a major part of our final music video. Our plans for this taks will be on a later post.
